The anticipated salary range for this role is between $66,000.00 and $77,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description
Business Control Office (BCO) Business Management Analyst role will support the BCO management team’s day-to-day activities, including control program execution, control enhancement and implementation, front office governance routines, analysis and reporting, research and follow-up tasks. This role requires someone who is efficient in time management, comfortable multi-tasking, and who is capable of assisting with a broad range of tasks in a variety of disciplines.
This role is responsible for supporting the BCO management team for all SMBC Americas Division business lines. This role reports directly to the BCO Change Manager.
Role Objectives
Assist in business simplification by streamlining processes and procedures; update documentation, as necessary, and assist with implementation.
Assist with minuting, preparing presentation materials and commentary related to control activities for various governance forums.
Assist with coordination and documenting annual front office risk assessments.
Support issues management process, enhancement projects and day-to-day activities of the BCO management team.
Analyze data and create management reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
2+ years of experience in a business management/analysis or project management support role.
Working knowledge of governance structures and experience interacting with management within a business environment.
Working knowledge of governance structures and experience interacting with management within a business environment.
Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and time management ability.
Knowledge of the banking and markets businesses and products a plus.
