Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$76,600.00 – $126,300.00

What Is the Opportunity?
Join the team that collaborates across Travelers to provide actionable insights to inform business decisions, drive winning strategies and enable the business to capitalize on change and trends. Enterprise Market Research (EMR) provides internal clients with objective, credible insights to help profitably grow the business, build the brand, and positively position Travelers in the marketplace. This position will report to the Director, Secondary Quantitative Market Research Operations and will interact broadly with the entire EMR team as well as internal business unit clients.
This role supports the Research Operations portfolio within Enterprise Market Research, which provides data analytic expertise, information delivery, and data management strategy for the department. Our projects and initiatives focus on increasing speed to insights and developing self-service capabilities.
- Query larger datasets to answer or support business partner and EMR portfolio requests.
- Work with datasets that may be unstructured and require additional transformation prior to analysis.
- Synthesize and effectively communicate technical findings and results to business partners.
- Collaborate with adjacent technology departments in designing, developing, and refining datasets to support EMR’s data strategy.
- Work on dashboard development and maintenance to bolster EMR’s self-service offerings in support of EMR’s data & insight delivery strategy.
- Transform, improve, and integrate data, depending on the business requirements to deliver data in a useful and intuitive way to users.
- Provides professional-level customer engagement to our internal clients.
- Supports active team research such as business trend analysis on an as-needed basis.
- In collaboration with management, balances multiple projects to help prioritize deliverables.
- Support technical research projects of moderate levels of complexity as required while using data to inform project insights and prepare project deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Operations, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or comparable discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a data analysis or technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize and visualize information from structured and unstructured data.
- Proven ability to derive observations from data and analysis and develop possible implications.
- Required business software skills: Advanced analytic skills (SQL, Python, SAS, Qlik, etc.), Excel, PowerPoint.

- Minimum of 2 years related business experience required.
