Job Title: Business Analytics Lead Analyst

Overview

Provides advanced professional input to complex Business Analytics assignments/projects. Works in collaboration with business partners to provide analyses and reports to aide decision making based on data, facts, and analytical findings across different parts of the organization. Analyzes and interprets collected data, spots trends, writes reports and recommendations and completes data modeling. Supports and provides direction to more junior professionals. Works autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others. Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Business Analytics.

The primary purpose for this job is to provide direct analytic support for Clinical Product Portfolio using different data types, including medical and pharmacy claims. This role will support multiple efforts from modeling new product impacts to supporting retroactive reporting at population, condition and patient level. This role will require a reporting and analytics background with experience in integrated data to support to product development, client reporting, and product performance. This individual will possess functional, technical and advanced business knowledge to provide customized, ad hoc solutions for information requests. In addition, there will be a technical component that is required with a thorough understanding of relational databases, the information warehouse, claims data, and SQL.

Skills

1. Coding – Data visualization through Tableau, SAS, SQL

2. Analytics – Develop new reports, models and analytic solutions with innovative ways to present data in order to support the product team and business intelligence. Completion of ad-hoc reporting and analytics for Account teams, Finance, and Operations. This requires combining business knowledge and data acumen along with technical (SAS, SQL) skills to efficiently complete these ad-hoc requests. Query data warehouse(s) using variety of tools available. Extract data and manipulate into reports for client both internal and external. Maintain turn-around times per agreements.

3. Consultation – Consultation with Intelligence+ partners, Product and account management teams to help understand complex issues and requests. Cross-Functional collaboration as needed to create alignment with stakeholders.

4. Collaboration – Sr. Business Analyst will need to collaborate with multiple departments across the company including Product Management, Account Management, Finance, Operations, Supply chain, Research, Advanced Analytics, and internal Intelligence+ areas. Sr. Business Analyst will need to facilitate hand-offs between multiple areas and will be asked to provide SME support on multiple projects/initiatives.

5. Project management and prioritization – Sr. Business Analyst will support multiple projects and initiatives. Sr. Business Analysts will need to be able to manage multiple initiatives at the same time and negotiate timelines/priority with stakeholders.

6. Communication – effectively communicate goals, outcomes, direction to all stakeholders including internal employees. Create a unified voice and environment for open dialogue and collaboration.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is REQUIRED

Experience in Healthcare is a PLUS

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

  • The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $41.38-55.17/hour
