Job Description

The Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex invites candidates to apply for the role of Booking Coordinator. This position supports sales and marketing at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts and works with clients to book event space, oversees contractual requirements, and ensures the internal and external calendar is up to date.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the Booking Manager by responding to sales leads, conducting site visits, and securing events for the Performing Arts Center while following booking priorities
  • Provides excellent customer service to Performing Arts Center clients by promptly responding to email and phone inquiries, generating estimates, and issuing agreements
  • Assists in the coordination and management of pre-event booking details and the calendar for resident companies, ensuring clients are well informed, policies are followed, and the Performing Arts Center has all required information and is up-to-date
  • Gathers, assembles, and distributes event materials, maintains records, files, and related event documentation in the Performing Arts Center’s event system
  • Collects and tracks event data to optimize use and success of venue including internal and external survey creation, execution, and tracking
  • Gathers certificates of insurance for all clients, ensuring accurate requirements are met
  • Manages website, email, and social media content for resident company events and handles email marketing campaigns for monthly newsletters and upcoming events. Additionally supports the Marketing Manager with other marketing tasks as needed
  • Oversees the in-house digital signage and scheduling of lobby music

Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in marketing or business administration and two years of event planning, sales or logistics experience

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

ADA and Other Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment; may require some work in the field with moderate exposure to atmospheric conditions (such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, etc.).
