About the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles:
The Indiana BMV employs more than 1,400 team members in branches across the state. From customer service and document management to information technology and finance, the BMV offers a broad scope of opportunities. While most Hoosiers know us for processing drivers’ licenses and registrations, the BMV also offers programs and services in a wide range of areas including driver’s education, driver ability, reinstatement after suspension, and much more.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $42,900. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
Role Overview:
The Program Coordinator oversees the functions of the Kofax TotalAgility platform which is used for document processing and monitoring. You will ensure that processes are accurate and within workflow parameters. Additionally, you will verify, audit, and correct vehicle titles, watercraft titles, credentials, and placards. Key outcomes of this role are:
- Prioritize work within the department and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Set standards for work based on federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Evaluate metrics to ensure processing areas are functioning at their highest efficiency.
- Monitor the flow and quality of work performed.
- Reassign work to maintain equitable work distribution.
This position is located in the BMV Document Management Department in the Government Center in Indianapolis, IN.
This position operates on an alternate schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00am – 6:30pm
- Tuesday: 11:30am – 8:00 pm
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Research and compile information on specific aspects of the program such as procedures, needs and policies.
- Answer customer questions about program policies and procedures.
- Establish, organize, and maintain current and historical files related to the program.
- Assist in the preparation of program reports, develop applications, prepare budget allocations and/or purchasing of consultative services.
- Maintain, monitor, and order program assets.
- Assist supervisor in the development and planning of overall program and its role in the functioning of the agency.
- Schedule, prepare, and disseminate all program related training materials.

What You’ll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
- Specialized knowledge of program area including pertinent rules and regulations.
- Specialized knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, agency policy and professional standards and practices.
- Ability to research, analyze, and compile specific topics related to program area.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.
- Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.
- Specialized knowledge of accounting and budgeting.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
