Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is looking for a driven, creative, results-oriented technical program manager for AWS Security teams. The Internal Security Support (IS2) and Cloud Operations (CloudOps) teams are responsible for driving operational enhancements and process improvements that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data. You will help build a program of repeatable processes for issue response and security support services. You will apply your technical knowledge to deep dive internal and joint programs to track and coordinate completion of action items while applying your ingenuity to create think big ideas of your own.
We are looking for a Security TPM to support operations and engineering by documenting and implementing initiatives to the highest standards. This will in-turn enable us to maintain and enhance internal and external customer trust. If you enjoy leading collaboration amongst cross-organizational teams and you are skilled at organizing, driving, and communicating laterally and upwards to management, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity in solving complex and far-reaching problems. A successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical security knowledge and a demonstrated track record of successful complex and large scale project deliveries.

Key job responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of programs involving diverse stakeholders across the globe
* Make smart trade-offs, create plans with clear, measurable success criteria, and concisely communicate progress and outcomes
* Review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives
* Drive simplification and efficiency through continuous improvement
* Navigate ambiguous scenarios that don’t have clear owners or outcomes and/or find a path forward in difficult situations
* Write effective narratives and present them succinctly to Senior Leaders
* Identify new large scale risks and opportunities, using data to validate assumptions and fully define the control environment
* Partner closely with internal service and engineering teams to create and or advance automation for issue response
* Dive deep into the security programs and operations to develop a broad domain and technical understanding of our control environment
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information
* Anticipate bottlenecks and provide escalation management (evaluating trade-offs, dependencies across teams, and making recommendations to stakeholders/leadership while balancing the business needs/commitments with technical constraints)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 2+ years of software development experience
– 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
