Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Under general direction, leads the Coverage, Competitor Analysis and Forms team in the capacity as a Manager of managers and/or individual contributors. This position is responsible for the strategic leadership and tactical management of Personal Insurance coverage forms, coverage rules, policy and non-policy forms. Ensures creation of forms/coverage strategies align with Product strategies by collaborating with Product and other PI teams and subsequently manages execution of those strategies (countrywide and state specific). Responsible for talent development, resource planning and assignments to ensure work is delivered on time with a high degree of quality.
The Work Arrangement for this position is based on location.
What Will You Do?
- Leads the PI Coveraqe, Competitor and Forms Analysis Function and Team. This includes initiatives that require the development of coverage strategy as well as the creation, implementation and revision of policy and non-non policy forms including all associated internal and external documentation.
- Leads team to develop and recommend coverage and product strategies. Works in collaboration with other PI teams such as National Product Strategy, State Product, Legal, Claims, Sales and other relevant PI and Enterprise organizations to develop coverage strategies.
- Leads a team comprised of Managing Directors and Product Directors who may lead others. This team develops, executes and supports countrywide and state specific product initiatives and strategies for all PI products (Auto, Homeowners, Umbrella, Personal Articles, and Dwelling Fire/Homesaver).
- Responsibilities include management, maintenance, compliance, training, competitive analysis and execution of all PI products (Auto, Home, OPL, Boat/Yacht, etc) spanning the functional areas of contracts, coverages, forms, rules and associated system support.
- Develops staff in the areas of Personal Insurance quote/issuance/ publishing systems to facilitate the development of policy and non-policy forms. Ensures staff provides consultation on development of forms.
- Strong commitment to develop staff in the areas of leadership, product knowledge (forms, coverage, underwriting, product features) and soft skills proficiencies.
- Lead team to gather and analyze competitive information to develop effective product/coverage strategies and/or recommendations.
- Ensures team operationally supports product portfolio strategies. Ensures operational and strategic execution of product initiatives is consistent with product and underwriting philosophy and strategies.
- Leads team to ensure PI products and processes are in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements. Ensures compliance impact analysis is conducted and recommendations provided.
- Focuses on continuous improvement of policy and non-policy form processes, team workflows and best practices. Ensures development and execution of audit mechanisms.
- Effectively prioritizes and manages resource demands. Utilizes available resource capacity management tools.
- Establishes, monitors and analyzes team performance metrics in the areas of quality, timely delivery of product support services and other relevant areas.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Master’s Degree.
- Personal insurance forms/product development, claims or legal experience.
- Advanced understanding of property and casualty insurance products, systems, underwriting, claims, distribution channels, regulatory.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Visio.
- General knowledge of Impromptu or similar query tool.

- Preferred: CPCU, IIA or other recognized insurance designations (Examples: CPCU, ARM, CIC).
What is a Must Have?
- Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts or Business.
- Minimum 4 years previous leadership and management of others experience.
- Minimum 7 years personal insurance industry experience, with advanced understanding of products, underwriting, coverage, rules, forms, regulatory environment, risk management, pricing/filing processes, and insurance financials.
- Minimum 7 years insurance industry experience in the areas of development of personal insurance products.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
