Job Overview:
The Product Management team within LPL’s Investor & Investment Solutions (IIS) group is responsible for delivering a highly competitive set of investment solutions. This includes the platform and product offering, pricing, advisor/client access to solutions, and promotional activities. The team’s goal from an investment product management perspective is to enhance our advisors’ and investors’ experience while helping to improve our firm’s economic and risk profile.
This role will be responsible for day-to day implementation of SMA/UMA activities, improving the process management of the platform, enhancing the onboarding of new strategies to the platform, and implementing improvements to the underlying operations of the platforms. It collaborates closely with LPL’s Operations, Overlay and Investment Platform teams, Advisory Consulting, Sales, High Net Worth, Legal and Compliance teams to collectively create great client outcomes.
This position requires a high level of operational/process understanding to enable the ongoing maintenance and operation of the SMA platforms. It also requires a high degree of operational and process acumen, as well as service and follow through with internal stakeholders and external partners in regard to the long-term strategy on LPL’s SMA, UMA, and High Net Worth related enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead tactical cross functional efforts that drive operational and process improvements in the SMA and UMA platforms.
- Lead projects that will impactSMA and UMA platform management.
- Partner with team members on the growth of the centrally managed platform architecture for advisory platforms
- Partner with the team to manage the ongoing strategy for the development and enhancements to the SMA and UMA Offerings
- Provide expertise in the offerings and consult with Marketing members on product attractiveness as it relates to promotional / sales activities or in defense of a product line.
- Consult with Investment Platforms team on prioritization and features of future development efforts.
- This position will be embedded with our Operations and Overlay teams but will be a product management position.

Requirements:
- Expert knowledgeable on the advisory landscape, specifically SMAs and UMAs including familiarity with competition (broker-dealers, TAMPs, etc.), platform/ product trends and regulation.
- Highly tactical skills and expert level experience with Microsoft Office applications PowerPoint and Excel.
- Platform management or operational experience associated with evaluating dynamic decisions and contributing towards recommendations that enhance the product offering.
Core Competencies:
- The ability to lead change and interact effectively with business partners leveraging strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to jump in where needed in order to meet team goals and deliverables.
Preferences:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in the financial services industry. An advanced degree is a strong plus.
- Experience working with reporting tools such as Tableau/Morningstar/ PowerSheets/ etc.

Pay Range:
$113,360-$170,040/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
