Audiovisual and Multimedia Operations Technician

This position will support the audiovisual operations within the Multimedia and Design division of Corporate Communications. Responsibilities include providing technical operating support for audiovisual presentations, multimedia productions and televised broadcasts. Consult with administrative staff, corporate service areas and the multimedia production group to coordinate fulfilling the requirements of live and virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide audiovisual and staging support for presentations in the 14th Floor Conference Center.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Services for scheduling, technical and logistical customer requirements and maintenance of facilities.
  • Evaluate customer requirements for audiovisual meeting elements, setup and run through required procedures, hire any needed freelance personnel and execute the meetings.
  • Work directly with executives and other customers to produce meetings, broadcasts and special events.
  • Advise customers and business partners on best practices to create a successful experience for audience participants both live and virtual.
  • Help in the development of capabilities demonstrations for customers to gain understanding of the 14th floor conference center offerings while also collaborating to develop creative approaches to produce meetings based on the capabilities unique to the venue.
  • Collaborate with Multimedia and Design staff to provide support and expertise in production, lighting, staging, design, and digital signage.
  • Work with engineers to configure audio, video and lighting presets to automate and simplify operations.
  • Assist in training staff and freelancers to operate systems simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, audiovisual services or digital multimedia technologies preferred
  • 2 – 4 years of hands on experience in the operation of broadcast equipment such as robotic cameras, audio mixers, video switchers, and computer based production software.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier Pro.
  • Understands company priorities and how the success of communications within meetings supports company goals.
  • Performs role of lead technician managing support staff and freelancers in the execution of executive meetings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot during live events and react calmly with practical back-up solutions.
  • Evaluate client requirements with regard to content and agenda to make the best and most efficient use of venue capabilities and resources to ensure successful execution.
  • Ability to explain operation of broadcast equipment such as robotic cameras, video switchers and audio mixers.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients and staff on agenda and technical requirements and manage expectations.

Salary range: $72,500-$100,000

Overtime eligible: Exempt
