Responsibilities
Provides athletic training services in the interscholastic, intercollegiate, elite amateur, professional and recreational setting including event coverage. Participates in outreach activities as a representative of Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. Delivers treatment to patients under the supervision of the physician and/or physical therapist in accordance with quality standards of the department. Assists in duties in physician clinic as directed by provider. A subset of employees may be required to routinely drive as part of their job responsibilities.
Qualifications
A baccalaureate or graduate degree in athletic training and certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, along with Minnesota Athletic Trainer registration is required. CPR certification is required. Must be able to demonstrate clinical proficiency with good manual dexterity in order to manipulate treatment equipment. Must have strong communication and human relation skills to interact with clinicians, administrators, students, coaches, parents, etc.At least one year experience working as an athletic trainer in a clinical setting is preferred.
Status as a certified strength and conditioning specialist preferred.
Masters degree in Sports Medicine or related field preferred.Certified National Athletic Trainer, Licensed Minnesota Athletic Trainer, CPR Certification. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy as applicable.

Schedule Details
Monday through Friday with hours generally during the afternoons and evenings depending on event schedule. Some morning hours will be required to do injury triage during the week. Some occasional weekend coverage of events depending on the season and schedule.
Weekend Schedule
hours will be dependent on event schedule and assignments. Can be 2- 3 Saturday’s per month during busy sports seasons.
