Associate Product Manager, Penguin Random House (Open to Remote)
The Consumer Marketing team at Penguin Random House is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support and execute product strategy for sites within Penguin Random House. Reporting to the Senior Director, the associate product manager will support our goals of driving engagement, improving content discovery, creating lead gen opportunities and driving retail clicks on penguinrandomhouse.com.

Helping us deliver the best possible products to your consumers, this experienced, detail-oriented product manager will build successful digital products and work closely and collaboratively with developers, designers, data science teams, and business owners. You are an excellent communicator and a self-motivated person with proven success at execution. The Role:
- Work closely with the lead product manager, who owns PRH.com, to manage the roadmap of incremental feature development
- Prepare and write user stories
- Collaborate with developers, designers/UX leads, and QA analysts on our team to bring these ideas to life through iterative design and development cycles to meet business goals
- Participate in ongoing user research, A/B testing and usability testing to further improve the platform
- Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement or further investment in the platform
- Manage and groom the product backlog
- Collaborate in a hands-on way with other product managers on the team who support a growing portfolio of consumer-facing websites and other digital products
- Participate in all agile rituals as part of our development cycles
The Essentials:
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience succeeding as a product manager and building consumer-facing products
- A thorough understanding of digital product development and experience with product roadmaps, consumer-facing product development, and agile methodologies is preferred
- Expert management and fluency with Basecamp, JIRA, Google Docs, Excel, Gantt Charts, PowerPoint, Word, and other software/programs for documentation
- Exceptional time-management and personal organization skills
- Pro-active communicator with superlative written and verbal communication
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, changing development environment
- Experience working in marketing organizations or publishing is a nice bonus but not required to succeed in this role
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
