This Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for leading the Experience Testing Program and work cross functionally to drive excellence and efficiency across each consumer and retailer interaction.

This role has the opportunity to lead a critical function to unlocking and enabling both business transformation and experience enhancements across our platform. A leader in this role will need to be comfortable creating and driving strategy across a high-visibility program within Optum Financial.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Program lead for Experience Testing Program responsible for strategy creation and alignment to ensure program meets overall business need.
  • Manage end-to-end program execution through UX, Engineering and Product management teams, connecting all three groups and making sure all interdependencies are understood and planned for. Ensure deliverables are met on-time and within quality standards
  • Implement process and tools around documentation, reviews, asset management and other key design operations
  • Collaborate with UX, Engineering and Product team leadership in key decision-making, including: requirements gathering, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and approval processes
  • Provide executive level program updates to sponsors, stakeholders and core team members
  • Define success metrics and be responsible for ensuring implementation of all work across the testing platform
  • Drives process optimization through the use of Lean Six Sigma tools. Engage with cross-functional partners to facilitate and guide teams in identifying root cause and high-value opportunities for issue mitigation and prevention
  • Implement risk management practices to ensure early detection through monitoring and control mechanisms
  • Proven ability to drive results under pressure and in the face of ambiguity
  • Work with minimal direction on complex, technical initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience
  • 8+ years within a product setting and/or consumer research
  • 5+ years consumer payments experience
  • Experience utilizing data to influence key process decision
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, research, and evaluate new ideas and translate into business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to envision and execute product adaptations and product extensions to take advantage of market opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp technical processes quickly
  • Proven solid judgment, problem resolution, team building, negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, & experience working under continual deadline pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UI/UX design certification and/or 5+ years experience
  • PMP certification or 3+ experience leading a program
  • 3+ years experience working in a Lean process environment or Greenbelt Sig Sigma or greater
  • 3+ Experience in Microsoft project or Visio
  • 3+ years change management experience
  • Proven excellent communication skills; written, verbal and formal presentation
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
