Business Analyst – Oracle E-Business – Remote

Zions Bancorporation is now accepting resumes for our Business Analyst position. This Business Analyst will be an integral part of our Oracle E-Business administration team preferably in Midvale, UT area or the ability to work remotely anywhere in the US.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and other groups to understand their requirements and translate to system requirements and solutions.
  • Work with interfacing systems and Corporate Accounting to ensure Oracle eBusiness Suite Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) functions with minimal issues.
  • Assist in issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Configure accounting rules and other system logic within FAH
  • Work with business users and programmers to analyze business processes and systems and recommend improvements.
  • Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout a project.
  • Participate in requirements prioritization.
  • Test and implement new software patches and other system changes.
  • Document test activities, review test results, and record remedial actions.
  • Prepare user documentation and follow-up evaluation for system changes as necessary.
  • Properly enable new users and grant or restrict access as needed to perform authorized work.
  • Able to occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible related experience and/or equivalent experience/training from which knowledge and skills may be acquired
  • Oracle eBusiness Suite and previous General Ledger and subledger module support experience preferred or strong knowledge of ERP and financial reporting systems
  • Understanding of financial processes and data flow from subledgers to a general ledger
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to define problems and present conclusions to management
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to elicit, gather requirements, document requirements, and analyze user needs
  • Sound business judgment, change management, and process improvement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under difficult time constraints and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven success in both contributing to a team-oriented environment and working independently to complete tasks
  • Familiarity with basic project management tools and practices
  • PL/SQL skills and a basic understanding of system architectures to assist programmers in troubleshooting and solutions are a plus.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000 to $130,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
