Description
The Assistant Graphic Designer will support public relations, marketing and sales departments with the design and execution of print and other graphics, incorporating appropriate interpretation to meet our internal client’s communications needs.
What you will do:
- Assist with developing approved concepts into multiple campaign components.
- Assist with converting written communications into graphics that support and enhance the client’s communication, as well as the brand.
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed for brand consistency.
- Produce final files for production and design advertisements.
- Assist in development of creative ideas and concepts.
- Attend client meetings to understand project design objectives.
- Conduct market research before developing design concepts.
- Assist with presentation of concepts to clients.
- Attend creative “think tank” sessions.
- Perform varied illustration skills, including rough sketches.
- Assist in photography sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in fine arts/graphic design or visual communication Required or
- Associate Degree in fine arts/graphic design or visual communication and 2 years of related experience; and a portfolio supporting that background Required
- Basic Knowledge of industry-standard graphic design and layout software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) with comprehensive understanding of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to problem-solve, skills and transform complex ideas to graphic representations.
- Demonstrate ability to apply color theory and color relationships.
- Demonstrate understanding of good layout principles.
- Basic conceptualization skills for alternative printing, production and packaging techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong visual proofing and error-checking skills.
- Skill managing tight deadlines for concurrent projects with various teams.
- Ability to manage work on multiple fast-paced projects.
- Basic HTML knowledge a plus.
Hourly Range
$28.00 – $34.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of an hourly pay rate and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
