We’re looking for an Assistant Buyer that will support our small but growing Buying team. Our crew has a tiny footprint in relation to what we’ve accomplished, and in this role, you’ll have to opportunity to be a part of it! You’ll support the Buyer in developing compelling seasonal assortments that bring pop culture to the homes of our Customers. This role is part creative, part analytical, and all collaboration.
This position operates on a hybrid schedule of two days in our HQ office in Southern California and three days remote.
Pay range starting at $26/hr – $28.85/hr.
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support your team in achieving sales and margin objectives for seasonal buy plans
- Assist your Buyer in the selection and purchase of product from vendor lines to augment planned assortments based on trend data. You’ll have a hand in everything from vendor meetings and sample management to trend analysis and analytics
- Partner with vendors and provide an amazing experience with our brand
- Be a team player; you’ll work closely with a broad array of business groups. You’ll do a great job of maintaining solid relationships with our stores, vendors, distribution centers and planning teams
- Ability to successfully prioritize and complete projects with effective time management skills
- Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
- Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
- Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Associates Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
- At least 1 year progressive experience as an Assistant Buyer and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Product Development or Merchandising knowledge is helpful. The more you know about product life cycle, the better!
- Availability to regularly attend concerts and fashion events to remain keen on current trends – fashion, music, culture, and other innovations regarding music/fashion. Tough work, huh?
- Knowledge on pop culture & home trends; it’s super helpful if you have a passion for our product!
- Deep analytical skills and quantitative abilities. You can crunch numbers and aren’t afraid of the words: analysis & Microsoft Excel
