Position Summary
The Maintenance Planning group works on asset management processes including capturing and maintaining asset data, risk assessment, analysis, data mining for compliance reporting and program metrics. Incumbents build equipment and maintenance plans linked to specific assets in the work management system module of SAP. Incumbents meet regularly with field maintenance supervisors to build schedules and update asset records in SAP when work is completed or rescheduled.
- Incumbents are typically assigned to support specific areas of transmission operations such as Substation, T-Line or the Test department.
- This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, and your assigned location based on business need. Headquarter location is flexible within PG&E service territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $37.50 to $59.62.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Applies full understanding of work management and asset maintenance to straightforward assignments. Requires mentorship on moderately sophisticated issues.
- Receives guidance from supervisor or senior peers on non-routine situations.
- Assists with solving basic problems with clear precedents or standards requiring integration of information from a variety of sources.
- Applies Work Management System in SAP to support local maintenance headquarters by tracking work orders to completion and advising supervisor on open orders.
- Provides supervisors, crew leads, and clerical support a list of current, future, and past due work on orders. Ensures preventive tasks are completed by the scheduled finish date.
- References and follows the substation maintenance and construction requirements outlined in relevant documentation for installing and maintaining substation equipment for new installed or out of service equipment.
- Follows established protocols and procedures whenever maintenance is deferred.
- Update the maintenance plans based on test results or recommendations from the field in the SAP Work Management System per established work procedures.
- Assists senior planner in running reports for audits, release notifications and maintenance plan optimization, focusing on standard situations and data. Raises issues or non-standard situations to senior planner.
- If assigned to T-Line, may maintain Asset and Maintenance mailbox and request for work notifications assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of total related experience such as in work management
Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of SAP work management module
- Basic knowledge of utility maintenance terminology, equipment
- General understanding of utility equipment maintenance processes and procedures.
- General knowledge/skill in MS Office apps.
- Proficient problem solving skills to address straightforward issues.
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail, ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
