Application Support Manager- Ancillary

Superlanet is looking for an Applications Support Manager overseeing Ancillary departments for a healthcare organization located in Midland, Tx. This will be a direct-hire opportunity that will require this Manager to be 100% on-site. This Application Support Manager will provide logistical support in the areas of system evaluation, implementation, system analysis, end user education and continued support. Responsible for promoting teamwork with co-workers and clinical departments. Responsible for supporting a formalized liaison program with leadership from clinical departments. Responsible for solving routine and non-routine problems, managing multiple priorities, and interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in a written or oral form. Responsible for following formalized project management, change management, and escalation processes.

Manage and lead a technical staff of clinical application specialists and clinical informaticists including training, evaluation, and job assignments.

Design and manage application implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support, including overall project management and project schedules.

Allocate and schedule staff to support the various Health Information Systems (HIS) software applications employed throughout the organization.

Maintain current knowledge of trends and advances in HIS software application including clinical and decision support

Maintain current knowledge of compliance legislation for clinical information systems including MIPS, MACRA, Meaningful Use, and subsequent associated standards.

Provides logistical support to all clinical HIS software, e.g., procurement, licensing, and maintenance. This does not include standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office.

Assumes primary responsibility in the evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of new HIS applications

Coordinates all resources necessary for the periodic upgrades of production HIS applications

Assures that adequate training resources are available for HIS applications and that appropriate training of all hospital and medical staff is completed.

Responsible for team participation in departmental change management documentation and approval processes

Responsible for clinical applications team partnership with clinical leadership including a formalized meeting schedule with a focus to align clinical and HIS standards with departmental workflow, processes, and policies

Responsible for measuring the efficacy and efficiency of post implementation processes

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in equivalent field, or equivalent experience, required.
• Healthcare Informatics experience or equivalent clinical knowledge andor licensure may be considered.
• Previous experience managing a variety of health information systems in an acute care hospital environment.
• Industry specific associate-level or professional-level certification desired
• Demonstrated skillset in multiple relevant technologies applications required
• Demonstrated customer-service and communication skills required
