AP MERCHANDISE SPECIALIST
REPORTS TO: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
PAY RANGE: $23.00 – $26.00/Hour
*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure

The Accounts Payable Merchandise Specialist is responsible for providing financial and administrative support in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle relationship with high volume vendors via emails, calls and meetings. Review statement and resolve issues.
- Research and resolve discrepancies between invoices and receipts. Communicate with stores, distribution centers, and other departments as needed to resolve issues.
- Performing three-way matching (invoice, purchase order and receiving report) to adhere to established guidelines.
- Process credits and follow up with vendors on returns.
- Handle weekly check runs.
- Train AP Merchandise Clerks.
- Handle import invoices.
- Other tasks and projects as necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounts payables experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Accounting/Business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and divert workload based on business needs
- Self-motivated with good initiative
