Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Junior Level Software Engineer who will work onsite in Santa Clara, CA with occasional telework.
You will:
- Participate in all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, design, code, test, and documentation
- Learn ISAT features and functions, including developing an understanding of tactical data
- Learn program processes and procedures
- Contribute to the software quality assurance team to support development of standards and conventions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up)
- Participate in technical exchange meetings, product demonstrations and training with the customers
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Required: experience/education: BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8
- C++ and C# expertise
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledgeable about relational databases such as MSFT SQL Server
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, including Azure DevOps (formerly TFS)
- Ability to design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints
- Perform quality control on team products
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
- Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance or be able to obtain one.
The following knowledge and experience are a plus:
- Military background in command and control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR).
- Fundamentals of Cybersecurity
- Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)

Range for Posting
Salary Minimum: $40,000
Salary Mid: $80,000
Salary Maximum: $100,000
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
