DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Re-engineer data processes to optimize cycle time and reduce waste in data process steps. Ensure audit, compliance, legal and other firm controls are followed and installed on each project and relevant activity. Identify data automation capabilities and apply them to appropriate use cases to create capacity for businesses. Monitor and improve performance of data automation solutions to ensure that businesses can rely on the solutions to conduct business operations. Develop new ideas for projects based on observations in existing book of work and data asset. Act as single point of contact and coordination for multiple projects, analyses, or products. Responsible for developing timelines, aligning resources, and driving progress to an aggressive timeline. Validate the output of related specialized groups, and influence work plan in each to ensure they align to desired business results. Communicate to senior audiences on results or progress of book of work. Embrace a mentoring role in developing associate and analyst talent within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Scientific or Quantitative field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Management Reporting Analyst, Technician, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Scientific or Quantitative field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Management Reporting Analyst, Technician, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: One of the following programming languages: SQL, R, Python, HIVE, Alteryx, Xceptor, or related programming languages; project management and planning acumen. This position also requires knowledge in interpreting Machine Learning results and organizing Machine Learning projects, including knowledge of statistics, probability, data modelling, automation of workflows, and programming skills, such as Python.
Job Location: 480 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $170,000 – $205,000 per year.
