What you’ll do:
- Assist section leads with grant management and reporting (e.g. financial management system, correspondence, application submissions, etc.).
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases related to budgets and other fiscal records, expenditures and payments.
- Determine the needs of the staff and make routine decisions regarding operational procedures, confer with administrative and professional staff on office requirements and advise office personnel on work-related issues.
- Follow procedures for receiving/logging section mail and distribute accordingly.
- Inventory and order section supplies and equipment.
- Prepare copies, correspondence, and print requisitions.
- Provide assistance with managing various conference logistics, on-site registrations, dissemination of materials, preparing agendas/meeting minutes, and taking follow-up action as needed.
- Provide technical support to external stakeholder inquiries via email and phone within the School-Based Mental Health section and the Office of College and Career Readiness, and serve as a member of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Department) Front Line team by answering general phone calls to the Department.
- Research, compile, create, and/or generate informational, statistical, and other reports.
- Review/proofread manuals, documents, contracts including Invitation for Bids (IFBs), Request for Purchase (RFPs), invoices (Departmental Purchase Request (DPR) and expense accounts) and technical reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or high school equivalency.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in progressively responsible administrative duties.
