The Virginia Department of Social Services, Division of Local Engagement and Support is currently seeking an Administrative Services Coordinator. This position reports to the Associate Director of Local Engagement & Support (LES). The Administrative Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily administrative operations of the LES Home Office Team and will provide direct support to the LES Operations Team through arranging and assisting with the onboarding of new employees; preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports; assisting with project management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues; managing internal and external stakeholder relations; and managing the home office budget and preparing financial reports. Acts on behalf of the LES Associate Director in his/her absence on designated matters. Provides procedural and operational support and guidance to the LES Operations Team and regional offices as needed and requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Considerable experience in the human services field, particularly in the areas of administration or operations.
- Personal computer experience in multiple programs and databases.
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license.
- Documented experience analyzing workplace concerns and finding creative solutions
- Skills in organizing and planning, tracking projects, and maintaining schedules
- Demonstrated ability to research/collect data and create spreadsheets with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and formulate conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues/documents
- Provide quality customer services; internally and externally
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Work independently and as a team member
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize schedule

Additional Considerations
- Social Services experience at either the state or local level.
- Certification as a State Notary Public for the Commonwealth.
