The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest administrative professional inside our Division of Drinking and Ground Waters at our Central Office in Franklin County.

In your new role you will relieve your superior of routine administrative duties and make recommendations regarding program activities, while researching and analyzing materials, information and programs, and providing technical information and advice to administrators to aid in decision making. You will assist in developing new procedures related to established program policy.
You will type complex materials using Word processing, spreadsheet, and/or division specific programs to prepare materials for mailing. You will also process division documents through eDocs ingestion procedures.
You will utilize various agency databases and/or spreadsheets to provide division files and documents for Freedom of Information Act requests, and you will purge division records according to Agency record retention policies.
Here’s the 2-Minute Drill:
• Answers and routes calls received through the Division’s main phone line.
• Opens, sorts, and distributes mail received for staff.
• Logs checks into revenues.
• Provides general administrative and secretarial assistance for the Division.
• Arranges meetings and process documents through eDocs.

Qualifications
- Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.
- Or 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.
- Or 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
