Responsibilities
This role would be part of a team of 5, charged with leading and setting the tone for monthly forecasting and annual planning for the Mayo Clinic enterprise. This individual would participate in analyzing financials and reporting out consolidated monthly results to leadership and help with executive meeting material preparation. Strategic outlook, motivation to learn and creative thinking will be integral to success in this role.
Expectations:
- Works in concert with the overall Enterprise team to assist in all aspects of planning, reporting and analyzing.
- Support transition of the Finance organization through project Harwick, allowing for a significant amount of creativity and fresh perspective on the organization. This view would be applied in day to day reporting and analytics.
- Interaction with the broader finance teams to seek and document answers on operational changes that translate into financial impacts.
- Involvement in analytics and adhoc analyses related to workforce and operating metrics such as volume drivers and payer mix in addition to financial statement analytics.
- Develop skill set for new Oracle tool set, becoming a superuser of Hyperion and lending support to other finance staff.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Aptitude for data systems and extracting information from various sources
- Experience in excel modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
