The award-winning AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for an Activities Attendant to join the Recreation Team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California’s surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.
- Classification: Part-Time (2-3 days a week)
- Shift: 8:45am – 5:15pm. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays required.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Produce a fun and safe atmosphere while maintaining resort standards.
- Communicate reliable information to guests.
- Customize activities for special group requests.
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Set-up, supervise, implement, and clean up for events.
- Identify problems and make decisions based on your experience and judgement.
- Speak and write clearly and effectively.
- Correspond through written and verbal communication, interacting with multiple computer systems.
- Report for work at required time and date and maintain a responsible attendance record.
- Reach, bend, twist, pull, move, lift, or carry objects weighting less than or equal to 20 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Comfortable spending time outdoors and participating in physical activity.

Pay Rate: The hourly rate is $15.50 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
