Accounting Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a talent for detail and a positive attitude. Our Accounting Administrative Assistant position will provide support to our accounting team. This position works side by side with our rock star team of administrators who provide support for Shipping, Receiving, Sales and Service departments.

JOB DUTIES:

The functions essential to the job include the following.

  • Supporting the Accounting team in the timely and accurate recording of journal entries
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner
  • Prepare invoices and bank deposits
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices and terms of payment and other charges
  • Processing invoices
  • Data entry
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping (preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task and change direction when needed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, hands-on individual with a keen interest in quickly learning and applying new skills who can follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

PAY

$17.00 – $21.00 an hour (depending upon experience)
