Description
As our Account Manager, you will work with our mid-market employer clients to maintain exemplary service for the life of their account. You are responsible for implementing and servicing the mid-sized employer segment building client loyalty and satisfaction.
What you’ll do…
- Responsibility for value delivery to client including plan performance, account management and service results
- Establish, cultivate and manage the client relationship at multiple levels, serving as a healthcare consultant and trusted business advisor
- Develop a strategic account plan for every client, including a strategic retention and growth plan, with goals and priorities for the book of business clearly defined
- Successfully manage upsells of new product lines and renewals of current clients
- Proactively suggest solutions and innovations to solve employer problems within fertility and family-building
- Effectively plan, negotiate and influence the interactions and relationships with customers, their brokers / consultants and internal team members to achieve strategic account goals
- Meet with clients regularly (virtually and in-person) or more often as necessary to provide program updates and address business concerns
- Create and clearly articulate the value story, trend drivers and tracking of solutions performance to the customer
- Deliver on key KPIs, including sales performance, relationship satisfaction, marketing and retention metrics for employer clients
- Resolve member abrasions that are escalated within Progyny and work with other team members to identify the root cause of the escalation and the best path to resolve it
About you…
- 7+ years of experience within the employer benefits or insurance industries
- Proven track record of working with mid-sized employers for client relationship management and consultation within health care benefits segment
- Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and listening skills
- Excellent messaging, positioning and presentation of information for client impact
- Unparalleled project management skills – identify a goal and the steps needed; actively manage action steps to accomplish goal
- Strong business and financial acumen; strong problem-solving, judgment and analytic skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
- Prior success in a fast-growing organization

In compliance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $85,000 – $95,000. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
