Sr. Mgr – Workplace Concept Design, Global Workplace Development

Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) designs and continuously improves the environments and experiences that support the diverse ways Amazonians work, delivering workplaces and experiences that bring our teams together to inspire, nurture, and enable them to invent and to delight our customers.

This role leads the creation, implementation and successful delivery of workplace design solutions, with a focus on the physical space (architecture/interior design) as part of the holistic Workplace Evolution for Amazon. The role is accountable for establishing a mid-to-long-range vision for the function, appearance, durability, sustainability, and scalability of Amazon corporate office space globally, as well as developing short-term solutions to current workplace needs aligned with that vision.

Key job responsibilities

Defines and develops the design for Amazon corporate workplace. In partnership with Customer Insights and Strategy, this leader works backwards from the customer (Amazonian), leveraging customer sentiment and workplace use data to develop designs to test innovative solutions, working closely with the Programming & Experience team to develop holistic solutions. They will be responsible for developing the design solutions and the strategy to measure effectiveness and define success, then build a rollout plan to execute across the global corporate portfolio. they will partner closely with GREF peer teams to guide implementation and identify new opportunities and cross-functional partnerships to maintain a customer-centric approach.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, preferably in design field

– 10+ years design experience (architecture, interior design or similar)

– 5+ years experience in Workplace design and development

– 5+ years design leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats

– Ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment.

– Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills.

– Proven track record of owning project from start to finish – self-starter and self-directed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
