Job Overview:
To be successful you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the recreational areas, including the Fitness Center, Wellness Center, Tiki Family Pool, Paloma 21+ Adult Pool, Cabanas, Beach, Cabo Courtyard, and Marina View Lawn. You will provide excellent guest service and assist guests with check-in and access to the facilities. As well as be responsible for supervision of Recreation Attendants and delegation of tasks needed to operate all aspects of the Fitness & Recreation Departments. The Recreation Supervisor will work alongside their fellow AM Recreation Supervisor, Recreation Attendants, and will report to the Fitness and Recreation Manager and Director of Resort Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the Fitness Center, Wellness Center, Tiki Family Pool, Paloma 21+ Adult Pool, Cabanas, Beach, and other recreational areas such as Cabo Courtyard, Marina View Lawn
- Provide excellent guest service for members, marina tenants, and guests.
- Provide wristbands for pool access and ensure guests follow all pool rules.
- Thorough knowledge of all Recreation Attendant duties
- Prepare and set up all necessary items for Cabana Rentals
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order and report any issues to Recreation Supervisors
- Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed
- Greet and assist members, guests, and marina tenants with check-in at the Fitness Center.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in recreational areas.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations in recreational areas.
- Assist in organizing, planning and setting up special events and activities.
- Collaborate with other Recreation Supervisors and Fitness and Recreation Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operation of the recreational facilities.
- Work closely with Recreation Attendants, supervising and delegating tasks as needed
- Maintain monthly retail inventory
- Oversee assigned projects and ensure that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- The Recreation Supervisor complies closely with the Recreation Manager to guarantee success within the Recreation Department
- Under direction, the recreation supervisor develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and supervises the operations of the recreation department, club attendants and facility amenities
- A direct supervisory level position responsible for supervising staff, fitness facility, pool occupancy, and beach amenities
- The Recreation Supervisor is required to ensure recreation amenities are properly maintained and performs related work as required
- Recreation Supervisor may oversee, assign, train, schedule, and monitor staff duties; evaluates employee performance and initiates disciplinary actions when needed with approval of Recreation Manager
- Provide direct feedback and communication with Fitness and Recreation Manager.
- Positive, upbeat personality works well on a team, desire to learn and able to multi-task
- Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Recreation Supervisor Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role in a recreational facility preferred
- Proven ability in communication and a collaborative work environment
- Creative personality with organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willing to learn.
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Positive, upbeat personality works well on a team, desire to learn and able to multi-task
- Hours will vary- flexible schedule required
- Able to transport and lift 35lbs and have no issues standing/walking around for long periods of time
- Work closely with other Club Attendants and guide on duties.
- Provide direct feedback and communication with the Recreation Manager.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
- Willing to learn
- Ability to transport and lift up to 35 pounds and have no issues work in a standing/walking position for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible hours, primarily including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the schedule will be based on business needs.
