SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent in this highly responsible position will provide assistance to the Director of Community Corrections Operations with oversight management of operations from a holistic standpoint. Oversight management efforts require the incumbent to collect, evaluate and analyze complex data sets to develop and make recommendations for improvements, solve operational discrepancies, streamline processes, document workforce efforts and operations appropriately, manage workflows specific to Community Corrections, and provide documents outlining succinct data for various metrics for executive leadership. The incumbent in this position should have an advanced level of knowledge of the specific duties, rules, procedures, policies, statutes, or other governing materials for positions in the Correctional Probation ranks to provide thorough analysis and timely evaluation of data reports generated. The incumbent will be responsible for the duties including, but not limited to the following:

  • Generates custom data reports as needed for operations within Community Corrections.
  • Provides operational subject matter expertise in the field of community supervision to determine best practices and methods for data collection.
  • Responsible for identifying trends in data on assigned subject matter, preparing related reports, codifying continued monitoring solutions, and ensuring operational compliance.
  • Research and drafts proposed changes to departmental rules, policy, procedure, memoranda, and directives.
  • Manages major projects and assists project teams with a concentration on operational oversight with measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinates activities in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of projects, which includes gathering and defining requirements, organizing tasks, and assigning accountability measures.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Office of Community Corrections and the Office of Information Technology as it relates to technological business solutions (software, databases, hardware, etc.).
  • Serves as a first point of contact and liaises between the Office of Community Corrections and the Bureau of Research and Data.
  • Assist with the preparation of graphs, charts, statistical analysis, and measures utilizing various data analytic software programs such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL, in order to assist leadership in addressing complex issues within the Department.
  • Identify, develop, and implement Community Corrections specific operational technology related enhancements.
  • Assists with collection and interpretation of Community Corrections data to include performing testing of computer user interfaces when pilots are conducted.

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop various reports, graphs and measureable charts/data.
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct program activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience developing and implementing electronic workflows and/or other technology solutions to enhance enterprise operations
  • Experience with project management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of operation within Community Corrections and/or experience, education, training, or certifications related to data science, computer science, and coding languages (SQL, C++, Python, HTML, JavaScript, etc.).
