Job Description:
Technical Tasks
*Use current video software to edit and/or capture video content (preferred, Adobe CC)
*Implement revisions as needed for polished final videos
*Create 2D and 3D animation
* Create special effects, transitions, and other visual enhancements for pre-recorded videos
Creative Tasks
*Collaborate with Instructional Design team and faculty to develop storyboards, assets, and animation that align with goals and objectives
*Produce storyboards, style guides, and suggested animation style per type of content
*Work independently to develop ideas for future strategic content for courses
*Research and stay up-to-date on current animation styles and trends
*Provide starter scripts for animated content
Organizational Tasks
*Provide updates on completions and progress, as well as review and confer with the Teaching and Learning Center staff for task assignment, feedback, and direction
*Participate in meetings with fellow team members, faculty, and staff
*Manage own time in relation to project deadlines
*Direct junior or hourly animator/post-production staff as needed for contract work
Expected Salary:
$26.34 – $28.73 hourly
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years in related field or directly fulfilled responsibilities
• Experience with audio/video recording software
• Experience with video post-production products and processes
• Proficiency with software/hardware relevant to animation and post-production
Conceptualize, design, and create 2D or 3D animations that align with project requirements.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make good editing decisions tailored to different audiences (i.e., student vs professional)
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Proficiency with all current media software, specifically animation software
• Expertise in graphic design
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage projects based around shifting deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Strong creative and storytelling abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
