The AWS Industry Products team dives deep directly collaborating with strategic customers on game-changing emerging technology and building new industry-specific products to spread the learnings and benefits of digitization across all industries. As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Sustainability, you will manage multiple programs to co-develop industry products and solutions, partnering with customer executives and business leaders, AIP product & engineering, and Amazon teams to define new AWS products, develop outcome-driven business models, and deliver on product execution.

We’re looking for an accomplished technology veteran to work with a multi-disciplinary team of product managers, software developers, subject matter experts, solutions architects, usability researchers, and builders to deliver state-of-the-art digital platforms and solutions with and for our customers. A successful candidate is self-driven, can employ mechanisms to put structure in place without slowing teams down, thinks strategically about the product & business goals, aligns the long-term with the tactical short-term, brings clarity in the face of ambiguous and sometimes shifting requirements, and generally GSD – Gets Stuff Done.
A day in the life
Each AIP co-development is like a start-up. As a Senior TPM in this fast growing, exciting space you will manage programs to develop new offerings in partnership with strategic customers, drive progress internally and externally, manage dependencies across AWS teams and partner teams, and be responsible for measuring and achieving business results. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally to deliver results, and dive technically deep to lead decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
– 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing external customer relationships and reporting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience leading a start-up or early product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
