FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Digital Business Analyst is responsible for tracking, surfacing, and analyzing key metrics across FTS digital properties including engagement data, operating costs, and revenues. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Digital Strategy and Business Development and play a critical role in will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to identify opportunities for business growth, improve cost efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ad hoc and recurring analytic support including reporting, analyses, actionable insights, testing and recommendations to drive engagement, revenue and reduce costs
  • Enable and contribute to the monitoring of product health through creation of dashboards, reports, and easy-to-consume visualizations
  • Work with Manager to prioritize needs that align business initiatives and set and communicate reasonable expectations and progress with teammates and stakeholders
  • Work cross functionally with other data groups within FOX
  • Clearly communicate goals, processes, and results with a wide array of audiences, from engineers to executives
  • Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an analytical/statistics focused position, preferably in the field of media or advertising
  • Strong Excel skills required, including formula, graphs, visualization, macros and third-party integrations. Python/R data analytics skills a plus
  • Experience with business intelligence systems (i.e. Amplitude, Heap, Datadog, Adobe Analytics, Looker, or Tableau)
  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL-based relational data lakes/warehouses (i.e. Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present analysis findings to stakeholders at all levels. Must be adept at translating analysis into cohesive, concise insights
  • Demonstrated effective relationship building skills
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach which includes: an appetite to improve results, endless intellectual curiosity, and a desire to continuously learn about the fast-changing media landscape

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $90,000.00-100,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
