Job Description

The Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex invites qualified candidates to apply for the part-time position of Performing Arts Stage Technician. Work is performed on an as-needed basis dependent upon client requirements and schedule of events.
Stagehands of all skill levels are desired. Possible areas of work include but are not limited to lighting, audio, video, scenic, properties and wardrobe.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow supervisory directions safely and effectively.
- Help in the safe installation, operation, and dismantling of equipment and materials as required by the performing group and or house.
Typical Qualifications
Education or Experience
- Some degree of knowledge of commonly used theatrical terminology, methods, materials and fasteners
- Experience in a theatrical, construction or manufacturing environment
