Our well-established client is currently seeking a (2) Defense Litigation Associate Attorney’s to join their NYC office. These are hybrid-remote work opportunities.
- Defense Litigation – Mass Torts Associate (Commercial & General Liability)
- Defense Litigation – Mass Torts Associate (Toxic Tort)
Responsibilities of the Defense Litigation Associate will include:
- Research various issues and collaborate with senior attorneys about strategies
- Taking and defending depositions on a regular basis
- Manage discovery and e-discovery as needed
- Draft reports to clients, memoranda, pleadings, motions, etc., including significant and complex motion practice
- Participate in trial/ADR planning and preparation
- Represent clients at courtroom appearances
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Details:
Qualifications of the Defense Litigation Associate:
- JD and admitted to practice in NYS required
- 3+ years of experience
- Must have strong deposition, motion, pleading, and e-discovery experience
- Maintains high standards of performance
- Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility
- Military experience welcome
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated individual
- Detail oriented and deadline driven
