About the Opportunity
The Receiving Specialist plays a pivotal role in our receiving department, which serves as the initial stage in our product lifecycle operations. This full time position in our Chelsea, NY location is responsible for processing all boxes received at the facility from customers and internal shipments who are selling or returning goods. The Receiving Specialist meticulously verifies the contents of each box, examines the products for wear and flaws, and accurately records the information in our database. They take measurements, closely inspect each item, attach a SKU label, and ensure that all product information matches the physical item. The Receiving Specialist is a critical part of our operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and processing all incoming boxes from customers and internal shipments
- Examining product for wear and flaws and verify contact details
- Accurately record product details (Flaws, Missing parts, quality) in our database
- Receiving and processing customers returns
- Following safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior retail or operational experience handling product in a production environment
- Prior data entry experience and basic computer skills
- Prior experience verifying invoices and shipping list
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and being able to mutli-task
- Ability to be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, or holidays with advance notice
- Ability to meet KPI’s and department goals

Compensation:
Pay Rate: This Position Begins at $20.50/HR for all New Hires into FASHIONPHILE’s Chelsea, NY Location.
