About the Team
We are looking for a Director of Product Management to build a team of product managers focusing on VIZIO’s proprietary operating system . The PM Director is responsible for driving early stage product development, leading go-to-market strategy, and responsible for launching customer-centric features. This role will work closely with various teams across the company ranging from Enigneering, Design, Operations, Hardware, Legal and Marketing.
What You Will Do
- Manage the release roadmap for the TV operating system
- Lead ideation, technical development and launch of innovative operating system features.
- Build, lead and support a high-performing team of product managers by managing team performance, growth, and career development
- Partner with various stakeholders within the company to achieve cross functional buy-in on the software roadmap and drive towards product releases
- Manage quality of the products and partner with Engineering and QA to balance priorities
- Perform competitive analysis of the TV operating system industry and identify gaps that translate to roadmap initiatives
- Partner with the hardware organization to coordinate software release that support hardware product launches.
- Drive organizational health and effectiveness by continuously improving process and community-building across the broader Product organization
About You
- 10 years experience in B2C product management, specifically with OTT streaming services and consumer electronics products
- 7 years team of leadership experience, people management and cross-functional teambuilding
- Extensive experience and deep understanding of operating systems platforms and CPU performance
- Experience with connectivity standards such as HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth is a plus
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Best-in-class oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience to positively and creatively influence strategy and direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing, launching operating systems products and features
- Prior experience with press and media
- Advanced qualifications in business and go-to-market strategy

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $164,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $212,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
