Position Summary:
The Area Manager will have full responsibility for sales execution and oversight of merchandising within region for specific customer channels. This role will be responsible to deploying critical priorities and strategies set forth by the Company to ensure flawless execution and oversight. The Area Manager will oversee a diverse team comprised of sales and merchandising professionals.
**This role will cover Sylmar and Bishop.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Complete responsibility for field sales execution in all local, regional and national customer accounts
- Responsible for leading and executing all sales priorities and initiatives
- Provides clear direction to the merchandising team and leverages the Company’s training programs to ensure employees build their capability
- Manages initiatives and achieves desired results to ensure high client satisfaction that stays within budget and on schedule
- Responsible for focusing on team development and succession including stewarding the Talent Management Review for Territory Managers, Customer Growth Representatives and Merchandising teams
- Coach and develop the team of direct reports while ensuring a culture of learning and development exists throughout the organization
- Serve as a key connection point with store level leadership and operations
- Accountable for selling in and adherence to calendar marketing agreements
- Provide essential feedback to the national customer teams to ensure alignment with customer agreements. Also provide feedback to Directors of Sales on marketplace conditions (including competitive landscape, channel plans, pricing and architecture)
- Drives collaboration between supply chain and field sales execution including sales / delivery route planning. Serves as key enabler for Supply Chain initiatives
- Work closely with the Commercial leadership team to execute and fulfill all channel, package and pricing plans
- Other projects or duties as assigned
