Job Overview
Sets up and operates a variety of machines throughout the shop. This is a utilitarian job title whereby the company can send the employee to any department in which they are needed. Contributes to flexibility of the workforce. Position may work in the following areas Lathe, Mills, Burring, Grinding, FMC, Shapers, etc.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Follow work procedure according to work center assigned.
2. Obeys all safety rules, wears proper PPE, and adhere to 6S standard.
3. Assist engineers and supervision to make improvements to parts, methods, fixturing and work place organization for continuous improvement.
Qualifications/Requirements
GED/HS Diploma
Previous CNC machining experience is required.
Must be able to perform own setups
Additional Information
Experienced machinists start around $31/hr
This is an off-shift position ($1.10 shift premium when moved to 2nd or 3rd shift)
Training often takes place on 1st shift. Must successfully pass background check, pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing. Moderate physical demand required, continuous lifting or moving light weight to moderate weight materials.
