Senior Engagement Manager – Program & Project Management

Job Summary:

  • Program Managers have a sharp business mind, strong business acumen and a proven ability to strategize and implement strategic program initiatives.
  • They are responsible for understanding the Microsoft Customer Experience and Success [CE*S] business strategy and specific Digital Customer Success [DCS] initiatives in alignment with that strategy.
  • They lead the overall program with direct responsibility for the end-to-end execution to achieve business outcomes.
  • Program managers are highly skilled professionals with business and subject matter domain expertise, who help organizations stay on schedule, on spec, and ultimately on an upward trajectory of success and growth.
  • They are also motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate and contribute to Digital Customer Success Strategy definition with primary responsibility for execution of stated strategy Acquire and continuously maintain knowledge of Microsoft’s Customer Experience and Success priorities and objectives in alignment with and advancement of DCS program goals and objectives Work closely with Digital Customer Success [DCS] program sponsors, cross-functional teams, and project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for net new and established DCS initiatives.
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal impact, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives. Identify key dependencies and requirements needed from cross-functional teams to drive stated outcomes • Develop and manage budget for projects and deliver against established business goals/objectives.
  • Work with other peers and stakeholders engaged in DCS programs to identify risks and opportunities within and across multiple projects.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and proactively develop mitigation plans to overcome program risks while creating the appropriate visibility for program sponsors
  • Define and refine scope and objectives of Digital CS programs in collaboration with the workstream owners proactively securing agreement
  • Defines and manages business and functional requirements with DCS program sponsors and assists in the translation of functional requirements within the BRD to technical requirements for engineering to design
  • Assist DCS program sponsor with the definition, tracking and monitoring of DCS Measures of Success across programs
  • Manage all DCS program deliverables with engineering leads to ensure alignment with scope and timeline of key, stated milestones, delivered on time and within budget
  • In partnership with DCS program stakeholders and v-team members, actively manage assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, and potential impacts, and facilitates the development of appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Provide accurate, timely and fit for purpose programs and/or project status reports using established norms.
  • Ability to organize and lead meetings with cross-functional business, operational and technical team members to consistently drive clarity, generate energy and drive outcomes
  • Coordinate and communicate between diverse stakeholders, business users, engineering and business intelligence teams, balancing requirements, and resources to effectively solve business problems.
  • Ability to build tabular and/or visualization reports as needed.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations to document business processes as needed
  • Work independently and with team members to understand database structure and business processes.
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.
