Description
The Core Cutter(s) will cut, move, pack, stack and organize core and core boxes and pallets. Organize and store all drill samples including core, rejects and pulps.
Duties will include:
• Core cutting experience preferred, will train.
• Palletize core, load, and unload core boxes. Split and/or saw core, weigh samples.
• Generate/place bar codes and scan for dispatch to the lab.
• Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate techniques; Performs sample preparation for quality control program.
• Select geo-mechanical samples (uniaxial, direct shear); wrap and mark samples.
• Enter data into tracking spreadsheets for drill samples and assay data. Enter geologic data for geologists.
• Organize paperwork and large amounts of samples.
• Physical capabilities of routinely bending, stooping, walking on uneven ground. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. pounds to waist high repeatedly and weight in excess of 40lbs. occasionally.
• This position will require the ability to work consistently and repetitively, and safely, wearing the appropriate PPE, throughout an 10-12 hour day while maintaining quality control
