Responsibilities
This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all phases of project and construction management required for the successful implementation of Patient Care Communication System (PCCS) and related systems working cooperatively with Facilities & Support Services, Facilities Management, project managers, construction managers, outside consultants, contractors, and HTM staff, to establish and manage PCCS project scope, budget and schedule, which may include multiple projects at one or more locations across the Mayo Clinic Enterprise. Manages, coordinates, directs and is responsible for the construction and maintenance work activities of contractors, subcontractors and HTM staff. Provides support to project managers, construction managers, outside consultants, contractors, and HTM and other Mayo Clinic staff to resolve unforeseen issues during construction.
Requires a working knowledge of all aspects of project development, design and delivery including thorough knowledge and understanding of building codes, life safety codes, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to manage project scope, budget and schedule involving multiple projects and one or more Mayo Clinic Enterprise locations. Participates in and supports capital planning efforts including establishing project scope and budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience including 3 years’ of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associate’s degree and 9 years’ experience including 3 years’ of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capable of moving among work areas and willing to do so.
- Demonstrated project and deliverable consistency through repeatable and reliable performance. Proven evidence of project management skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication, organization, problem solving, and facilitation skills. Evidence of mastery level expertise in one computing and HTM technology.
- Demonstrated ability in solving complex technical problems with multiple computing and HTM technologies. Experience working in healthcare technology.
- Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Master’s degree in applicable field preferred.
Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
