The Commercial Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing commercial construction projects from start to finish. This includes managing the budget, schedule and resources for the project, as well as communicating with clients, architects and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans and timelines, including setting project goals and objectives, determining project tasks and resource requirements and coordinating with team members to ensure project completion on time and within budget
- Manage the budget and financial performance of projects, including monitoring project costs, tracking expenses and identifying areas of potential cost savings
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to establish project expectations and provide regular updates on progress and any issues that arise
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project stays on schedule
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including building codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with architects, engineers and other professionals to ensure project design and construction align with project goals and objectives
- Resolve any conflicts and issues that may arise during projects and ensure any changes to the project are properly documented and approved
- Ensure projects are completed to the satisfaction of the clients and the projects are handed over in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and meet project deadlines
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Strong understanding of construction laws and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- PMP, LEED or other relevant certifications are a plus
