We are seeking a Viva Pulse Software Engineer II to architect and build scalable and performant web applications using engineering best practices. You will work closely with other engineers, managers, product, design, and operations teams to create new solutions and improve existing products and features. You will collaborate with other engineers to surface common pain points, develop solutions, and evangelize best practices.

  • Propose and implement robust, scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions that are tested, reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets.
  • Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and organizationally critical programs.
  • Partner and work collaboratively with people across Product, Design, and Engineering teams spanning across geographies to deliver complex, large-scale experiences.
  • Optimize code for best performance and accessibility.
  • Be a role model for an open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem solving.
  • Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    o OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical abilities around design, coding, rapid prototyping, debugging, and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal, written and cross group collaboration and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent field experience
  • Experience working with distributed systems / microservices architectures
  • Ability to work on cross-platform code
  • Commitment to delivering the best experience for customers

Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 – $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 – $198,600 per year.
