We are looking for a Staff Accountant to work for one of our clients a full-service construction distributor located in Hicksville, NY. This is a permanent, full-time job, 100% working on-site.
In this role you will be responsible for accounts receivable collections, reconciliations, assisting in month-end close, AIA Billing, contract management, insurance requests, and general ledger duties.
The ideal candidate would have minimum at least 3 years of experience working in accounting with client billing, cost analysis, collections and correspondence including researching and solving payment discrepancies. Experience in construction is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A/R billing (AIA), collections and credit analysis
- Accountable for creating AIA invoices, issuing them to customers by all necessary means and updating customer files
- Insurance request processing
- Assisting with job cost analysis and contract administration
- Reconciling and reporting discrepancies found in records
- Preparing weekly reports for management
- Maintaining filing system
- Creation and modification of schedules and information using Excel
- Other responsibilities as assigned

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000/year
