The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of mission-critical, real-time military software applications, simulation tools, and/or interfaces across all phases of the system development lifecycle.
What you will be doing:
- Work on interesting and challenging software projects such as:
- Modeling and simulation of signal processing and classification
- Developing algorithms to improve torpedo performance
- Developing countermeasure software to defeat threat torpedoes
- Test and simulation to measure effectiveness of algorithms
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to program in MATLAB models
- Develop testing environments to evaluate proposed changes to system software
- Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test evaluation
- Working on-site in a government lab as part of an integrated government/contractor team

- Salary ranges between $80,000-$140,000, dependent on experience, qualifications and other relevant business criteria.

Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen, possessing an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance*
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree
- Experience utilizing Matlab or similar application for algorithm development
- Minimum 1 year of experience developing and/or testing algorithms/software
Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Prior military service in US Navy, especially service involving the employment of torpedoes
- Experience in working on torpedo, countermeasures, or payload control system algorithms or related software
- Experience in digital signal processing
- Experience in and/or knowledge of:
- Object Oriented Design and UML Tools.
- Software requirements and design.
- Architecture definition and/or software integration.
- Familiarity with software configuration tools such as Bugzilla, Jira, GIT/BIT BUCKET, Clearcase and SVN
*Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks.
