The Top Shelf:
The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation is seeking a motivated and energetic summer intern to assist with various aspects of our program operations for 10 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student or recent high school graduate to gain hands-on experience in non-profit event planning, program management, and data management. This intern helps maintain databases, assists in planning/executing foundation events, and assists in community programs.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Assist with planning and execution of Foundation events, including back-to-school event, summer floor hockey tournament, and other related events
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks related to the Foundation’s programs and events
- Assist with the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, and emails
- Support the development of inventory tracker; work alongside team to gather and document inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Player Stats and Qualifications:
- Must be a current college student or recent graduate
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in non-profit work, sports management, or event planning
- Ability to address, adapt to, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated aptitude for driving results
- High attention to detail
