SALES FLOOR COORD – TIWA

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Travel Center Manager. Direct overall supervision of sales employees. Coordinates work schedules, opening and closing duties, customer service, training, motivation, and enforcing policy and procedures.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Bien Mur General Manager or Travel Center Manager – TIWA.

Supervise Sales Employees as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists Gift Shop and Smoke Shop Coordinators with the development and training of sales employees.
  2. Customer relations-Assistance and interaction with customers. Coordination of all sales and customer inquiries.
  3. Aggressively promotes interaction with customers to educate and create positive sales.
  4. Coordination with Travel Center Manager – TIWA to develop/maintain point of sale training maintaining policy and procedures of handling customer transactions.
  5. Coordination with accounting for assistance with problems associated with daily reports, sales drawer, cash over/short, and data entry verification, inventory verification.
  6. Coordinates with purchasing-Develop/maintain product information that is necessary for effective sales presentation, display and merchandising of products.
  7. Performs miscellaneous job related duties and assignments.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED Certification or equivalent.
  2. Five (5) years retail experience.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work normally performed indoors.
  2. Work is performed on weekdays and weekends.
  3. Work occasionally at trade shows and evenings.
  4. Work requires normal dexterity while walking, climbing stairs, standing, sitting, bending, squatting, and lifting.
