Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Property Control Associate who will collaborate on the next generation of space access vehicles at one of the World’s Premier Gateways to Space!

Venturi employees open portals to space by providing operation and sustainment of mission-critical systems that launch and track Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space launch rockets. We also provide U.S. defense and space awareness through ballistic missile testing, guided weapon and aeronautical tests, and experiments, to sustain and deliver world-class solutions! The position is located on-site at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, and is not eligible for a hybrid or a remote work schedule.

Compensation for this position includes an annual salary of $45,000 to $50,000 plus competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

As a Property Control Associate, you will:

  • Enter and update data into the property management system, Maximo.
  • Perform physical audits and inventories across the eastern range.
  • Develop required and ad hoc reports for internal or external agents promptly to meet deadlines.
  • Perform research, on-site asset verification, physical tagging, and record updates.
  • Maintain property documents, files, correspondence, reports, and other appropriate documentation relating to the assignment.
  • Dispose of Property:
    • Coordinate with custodians
    • Create and process appropriate forms and paperwork
    • Coordinate with AF representative for approval
    • Palletize items and transport them to the turn-in site
  • Rectify Loss, Theft, Damage, or Destroyed (LTDD) items:
    • Investigate and coordinate search efforts
    • Coordinate with custodians and managers
    • Collect appropriate information, including witness statements and police reports
    • Submit information to AF for approval
    • Update Maximo
  • Manage a fleet of government vehicles:
    • Coordinate repair and maintenance of vehicles
    • Coordinate activities to repair vehicles after an accident occurs and submit information to appropriate AF agencies
    • Resolve recall issues and perform vehicle swap outs
    • Develop monthly mileage and maintenance reports
    • Manage fleet storage during hurricanes
  • Assist/support Property Custodians and Vehicle Monitors.
  • Support audits from other internal and external agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in Property Management and/or Logistics Support
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required
  • Interim Secret clearance is required on the first day of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with supply inventory systems preferred.
  • Experience with Maximo preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Government Property Control, Government Vehicle Control, and Air Force systems is desired.
  • Ability to independently lift to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Available for international travel to Ascension AFS for periods of up to three weeks at a time.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic people skills for interacting with all levels of employees.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills and diligence are required.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
