The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Project Leader Development in New York, NY to ensure delivery of technically complex software solutions targeted at various business units. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Java, JMS, Spring framework, and Micro services to provide automated solutions of various backoffice components including Re-org corporate actions, segregation deficit requirements, regulatory and ad hoc reports; utilizing databases including Oracle, SQL queries and tuning to automate otherwise manual processes for the Operations department and to create automated reports / automatic reporting tools; utilizing message-based technologies including Kafka, MQ, and SWIFT to reliably transmit information in the corporate actions Re-org workflow, post trade confirmations, settlements and clearing with various depositories and counterparts; managing multiple complex initiatives including delivery schedules, and risk and mitigation of the project delivery; utilizing knowledge of capital markets to integrate, and automate business processes; managing and mentoring development team members, reviewing code frequently, monitoring and presenting overall health of the project. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above fields of study and three (3) years of experience in the above skills.
